I wish that I was able to review previous information easier as it makes pausing the game risky, and the travel section can get confusing. That said this is hands down one of the best games I've ever played, the plot, the detail, the investment in the characters is almost immediate. No waiting to play, ads are rare, and the game is free.

I'm updating my rating from 2017, as it seems that some work went into correcting typos and incorrect word choices. There are still a few of these instances, but they are less jarring. This is still one of my favorite choice games. It teaches the lesson that chatacters don't need meaningless complexity, forced relatability, and exposition. They just need to be likeable. It's also unapologetically period-correct when it comes to social norms, which is refreshing and allows it to feel believable.

awesome story and experience. so many positive things to say, and a nit-picky con. pros: the developer has non-intrusive and not annoying ads (+2 stars for that alone). the story is AMAZING. you can play it over and again and not feel bored the interactive design and character choices really influence what you can do. and has a very real-world grit to it easy to read and follow along con: no save-states/notes. my character died (not even mad the story was so good) and couldn't continue.
